A new reprint of this compelling narrative of Jean Lowry, captured
at Fort McCord (near modern day Edenville, Franklin County, PA)
on April 1, 1756. Lowry’s story is worthy of a Hollywood film, and
is one of the few narratives during this period written by a woman
and published not long after her release.
This reprint features an excellent biographical essay by Dr. Helen
Westra, Professor of English at Grand Valley State University in
Allendale, Michigan.
Paperback, 64 pages, $7.00
