This
book describes trails used by Native Americans as they travelled
through and within what are now the borders of this state. A typical
example is that of the French Creek Path, from Conestoga Indian
Town to Phoenixville. The author offers a history and written description
of the path, followed by instructions to the motorist who wishes
to follow it. These are supplemented by superimposing a trace of
the path onto a modern map of the area. Wallace uses this format
to describe 131 Indian paths, adding five appendicies, biographical
notes and two indices to his work of over 200 pages.
200+ pages,
