The setting for this painting is locally known as "The Narrows", just outside of Gettysburg in Adams County. Thanks to Rob Bennett for allowing Heide and the model access to this stretch of river, which is monitored by a private trout fishing club.
The model for this painting used to work for us at the James Gettys Hotel and is also shown in Heide's painting titled "Summer Bouquet".
