Heartland by William S. Phillips Bill created this after the events of September 11, 2001, compelled to paint through the intense emotions we have all felt. One of the results is this quintessentially American landscape including the reassuring icons of nature's bountiful crops, a church steeple sounding a call to prayer and a rainbow of hope.
