"I was in a grassy field near my home with this pair of Black Labs," John says. "It was a wonderful morning, just right for a mood painting, as fog hung over the entire field. All was quiet until a noise finally caught the dogs' attention. They perked up and looked away, and in the process provided me with just the right pose. Each breed has that certain stance which suits it best. Labs should be attentive-looking, and that sudden distraction provided me with the perfect expression."
